The September Holsteiner Verband inspection was an enjoyable day, watching mares be presented and hearing the Verband’s feedback on them.

They were especially impressed by 24-year-old Telvera (Matterhorn/Expert, 1.45 m) as she was feisty and excited to present despite her age. In fact, it could be argued she was slightly miffed at the lack of jumps through the jump chute. She was rewarded for her efforts with a Premium ribbon and loads of compliments.

Nefertiti MFF (Bliss MF/Voltaire) also achieved a Premium status, with comments on her clear athleticism, balance, and quickness. Nefertiti MFF is currently in foal to Omano BC for a 2025 foal, and has two colts by Carambole on the ground – Sazerac MFF, 2 yo, and Bacchus MFF, weanling.

However, O’Hara MFF (aka Scarlett O’Hara, Rotspon/Cartier R) is the mare who achieved the highest scores, including an 8 for her trot. This means she left the arena with two ribbons: one for her Premium status and one for Site Champion Mare.

Following these results, Mane on Fire Farm produced and embryo out of Scarlett O’Hara by Catoki (Cambridge/Silvester/Cor de la Bryere, 1.60 m) and one out of Telvera by Canturo (Cantus/Calando, 1.60 m).
