Zerina Nimmerdor Farn
Malida Uppercut xx

Ralma is by indoctro out of Zerina, who is by Nimmerdor. This remarkable, stacked breeding is a delight to have in a broodmare, as Indoctro himself was said to be a fantastic broodmare producer. The cross of Nimmerdor/Uppercut means that Ralma’s dam is also a 3/4 sibling to the legendary sire Heartbreaker! Truly, a royal Dutch pedigree! The KWPN has given her a jumping breeding value of 142, is a truly remarkable feat, along with her Sport predicate! She was said to have jumped to 1.40 m and qualified for the UK’s Scope Championships on her first try. She was also 4th in the 1.30 m 5 yo championships! She was said to be extremely careful and very athletic with endless scope. She is also a lovely mover, elastic with a big stride. To date, she has produced six foals, the oldest of which are beginning their show ring careers. Her youngest, Nyssa MFF (Dakota VDL), is only a month old but is extremely correct in every way with lovely movement that is light in the front end.

Sires of Note

Indoctro can still be found at #20 on the WBFSH’s top sires list, and no wonder – he has Internationally produced winners at both the Grand Prix and World Cup levels.

“Casadora (Lauren Hough) won the Grand Prix of Kentucky, Youp (Leslie Howard) won the Grand Prix of Palm Beach and Tampa and the Derby of Calgary, Nassau won the Grand Prix of Gelderland and was earlier 3rd at the European Championships and 2nd at the Dutch Championships, Black Ice (Jill Henselwood) won the Grand Prix of Indio, Orame won the Grand Prix of Culpeper, Picolien Zeldenrust won the World Cup qualifier in Halton Place and Robin won the World Cup qualifier in Wroclaw… …Other famous offspring include: Nike (Katarina Offel) a finalist at the Olympic Games in Athens, 2nd in the Grand Prix of Valkenswaard and 3rd in the Grand Prix of Arezzo; VDL Maserati, who won the Derby of Valkenswaard, 2nd in the Fidelity Grand Prix and 7th in the Derby of Hamburg; Nadia (Georgina Bloomberg) who won the Challenge Cup of Wellington and was 6th in the Grand Prix of Las Vegas, and Nobel (Maikel van der Vleuten) who won the Grand Prix of Compiegne.” – The Horse Magazine

Nimmerdor himself competed up to 1.60 m, even qualifying for the Los Angeles Olympics! His legacy, however, is in his offspring – he has proven to be a sire of sires, producing such well-known names as Aram, sire of gold medalist De Sjiem, Ahorn (1.60 m), Goodtimes – sire of Wellington who produced Emilion and Glennridge, Glendale – damsire of Totilas, and of course Heartbreaker – who sired a dynasty all his own and appears prominently in some of the WBFSH’s top sires, including Cornet Obolensky, Comme il Faut, and Toulon, while still representing himself at #15 on the list! Nimmerdor is also the damsire of Kannan, Now or Never M, and Thunder van de Zuuthoeve – arguably, his presence as a damsire is as potent as that as a sire of sires!

In addition, this cross between Indoctro and Nimmerdor is a known nick – on HorseTelex alone, there are 287 offspring of this cross listed, with an astonishing number of them having performed at 1.30 m or greater. Approved stallion sons of this cross are Victor E, Boss, and Wittinger VDL.

Uppercut is the blooded addition to this pedigree, as he is a thoroughbred that has earned himself Preferent status with the KWPN. He is the sire of 16 stallion sons and the damsire of 8 – including Aram, the same stallion son as mentioned above. In addition, he tends to appear as a damsire or grand damsire in pedigrees – including Heartbreaker”s, as he is Nimmerdor/Silvio/Uppercut. This also means that Heartbreaker is a 3/4 sibling to Ralma’s dam! Heartbreaker son Toulon has two crosses back to Uppercut, so it is interesting to note that this cross of Uppercut to Nimmerdor has previously been proven successful.
