Carmeline M (Camaro M/Orust) is a 2001 broodmare whose previous career was as a 1.40 m jumper. So successful was she as a 1.40 m jumper that she actually won the World Breeding Championships in her division in 2007. She has been crowned with the “Breeding Select” title from the Swedish Warmblood registry, and Elite with KWPN-NA. Carmeline herself has a powerful topline, lovely type, and good movement with great lift and elasticity. She is very careful over fences, with a catty ability to turn and textbook form. Conformationally, she is extremely correct and proportional.

Post-retirement, she taught lessons in a collegiate riding program and was schooled to advanced level dressage movements. We still ride her from time-to-time, and can confirm she is a very easy mare to ride.

For this reason, we expect her to bring a great deal of willingness and amateur friendliness to her offspring. Her scope, technique, and movement we hope will also be in the package, making her a particularly interesting broodmare to produce both upper level and dual-ring horses.

Sires of Note

Her sire Camaro M (Calido I/Landgraf I) has a score of 38 with the Swedish Warmblood Association, including a 9 for type and an 8 for head, neck, and body. He was also given 8’s for jumping ability and jumping potential! For his breeding index for the Swedish Warmblood Association, he has a 131 for jumping technique, 130 for jumping temperament, and 144 for jumping overall! Out of 633 offspring listed in the BLUP, 344 are in or have been in competition.

Calido I earned unheard-of “10” for jumping at his stallion test and has no less than 19 approved stallion sons. He has also produced over 141 offspring that have jumped to 1.50 m or greater (HorseTelex), placing him at #70 on the 2017 WBFSH Jumper Sires Ranking.

Landgraf I’s legendary status as a sire can be felt across all the warmblood breeding books, as his presence as arguably the best son of Ladykiller made him enormously influential. He also sired almost 30 offspring that jumped to 1.60 m, including Freestyle, winner of the Aachen Grand Prix, Libero, who won the Dutch National title 5 times and the 1994 Volvo World Cup. This also includes Landadel, a Landgraf son who produced World Cup winners both in Dressage and Show Jumping!
