Ariana III, aka Adetta 2, is bred Cassini II/Coriano/Ahorn Z. She competed to 1.20 m, almost exclusively with juniors and amateurs, and has two siblings that competed to 1.35 m and 1.40 m. Ariana herself is a tall, big-framed mare with substantial power. She also inherited that wonderful Cassini shoulder, and has fantastic range over fences. Her temperament is the real gem though; unparalleled willingness, kindness, and ability to take a joke.
The Cassini brothers (Capitol I/Caletto II) were known for adding power, size, and temperament to their offspring, and sired the likes of Berlin (Caspar) and Cumano. Cassini I and Cassini II are currently at #31 and #34 on the WBFSH Show Jumping Sires ranking, respectively. The addition of Coriano (Corrado I/Lord/Ramiro Z) via Ariana III’s dam doubles up on those legendary Holsteiner “C” lines – Capitol I and Cor de la Bryere. Coriano is another addition to who pedigree with performance history, as he jumped to 1.50 m.
Ariana produced one foal by Cormint, who is currently in Germany and has jumped to 1.20 m.

In addition, dam Korianna jumped to 1.30 m herself! Korianna’s full sister Madonna IV produced the well-known stallions Canturano I (1.45 m), II (1.50 m), and III (1.60 m).
Other familiar stallion names in her mareline include Lavito (1.30 m), Gin Duidam (1.55 m), Cosido (1.45 m), Erdinger (Escolar), and Houston (1.60 m). In sport, Lhara (Linaro, 1.60 m), Cazaro (Chambertin, 1.60 m), Lizzard Point (Linaro, 1.60 m), and Larissa XI (Barnaul XX, 1.60 m) were not only WBFSH ranked in Show Jumping, but were in the approx top half for their respective years.
The following chart goes back 4 generations of Ariana’s immediate mareline. It is worth noting the offspring of her 4th dam’s progeny, and their progeny in turn, have incredibly extensive sport records as well. This damline has an extraordinary strike rate for horses ending up in sport!
